Wildflowers found on this hike

Lair o' the Bear is an open space park in Jefferson County. We chose the path that followed the stream for a while and then headed up the mountain. It was a beautiful hike, but also a popular mountain biking trail. There is another trail that is closed to mountain bikes, but we didn't realize that until we came back. Our trail followed the stream for some distance, so we found some of the wet-loving flowers there. Then we climbed steeply upwards for a few miles through a mixed woods forest. We turned around when we reached the top of the first ridge. I think the trail goes on for quite a distance after that.
